Nan plans to yarn bomb aged care
Meet Nan, our knitting genius here at St Vincent’s!
Born in the 1930s in Bangkok, Thailand where she worked at the Bangkok Post as a proof-reader.
Nan then moved to Australia with her husband, living in Melbourne, Mildura, before settling in Perth.
Nan is a quiet but caring lady who loves to help and keep busy at St Vincent’s. She helps our staff fold the napkins beautifully every single day without fail, ready for our residents to use.
She is also helping us “yarn bomb” our reception pillars at St Vincent’s with her amazing skills.
Nan loves knitting away quietly in the lounge room and is very happy to teach staff how to knit as well.
Hobbies and activities are a great way to share and learn, cornerstones of our Care with Purpose approach.
